Rail Expansion: Great for Business in Nashua, NH

New Hampshire Business for Rail Expansion, a new, nonpartisan, statewide business coalition, recently launched a campaign in efforts to gain supporters of rail expansion from Boston to New Hampshire. 6th Annual Flatley Challenge Winners Announced

2017 Winners Announced | 6th Annual Flatley Challenge | Tech Startup Competition   January 12, 2018 – The John Flatley Company is pleased to acknowledge the winners of the 2017 Flatley Challenge. Both companies will be awarded a $10,000 prize as well as up to 5,000 SF of office and/or lab space at the Nashua Technology Park (NTP) @ Gateway Hills, right off Exit 1 in Nashua, NH.   Taking 1st place in the HiTech category is Vybe Software, creators of DevKit, an iOS application that enables K-12 students to create their own, fully functional mobile applications and games right from an iPad or iPhone, while learning code. The Nashua-Manchester region was recently ranked No. 19 in National Geographic’s “25 Happiest Places in the United States” survey. According to National Geographic, the survey was based on a collection of 250,000 interviews with adults living in metro areas from 2014-2015. The interview consisted of 16 questions based on community, physical, social, financial and purpose of well-being. The Nashua Patch published a feature highlighting Nashua, NH’s results of a National Survey on places to live in the United States, as Nashua was ranked number 44. The Patch writes, “Residents of Nashua, New Hampshire benefit from a strong economy and a disproportionately high concentration of cultural amenities and entertainment venues. Only 3.3% of the local labor force is out of work, well below the 4.9% annual U.S. unemployment rate. Many of those working in Nashua are well compensated. The typical area household earns $69,769 a year, over $12,000 more than the typical American household. Nashua residents have plenty of options when it comes to spending disposable income. There are 223 restaurants and cafes for every 100,000 residents, far more than the typical concentration nationwide. Nearly 30 townhouses proposed for south Nashua neighborhood

The New Hampshire Union Leader shared, planning officials will be considering a new development to Gateway Hills consisting of 28 Townhouses. Next month, John J. Flatley Company representatives will approach the Nashua Planning Board, seeking development of property at 200 Innovative Way into Townhouses. Scott McPhie, city planner, writes, “The site is part of the larger Gateway Hills development, formerly known as Nashua Technology Park. The Flatley Company has assembled a number of parcels over the years, which now encompass approximately 400 acres of contiguous land.” Tentatively dubbed The Townhouses at Gateway Hills, this project is proposed to have seven buildings, with 4 units per building. It will utilize 4 acres of a nearly 130-acre lot and private cul-de-sac, seen in the below plan. Gateway Hills is a live, work, play lifestyle community in Southern Nashua NH.
